With the objective to strengthen and build collaborative solutions that will drive the clean energy economy in B.C., 200 clean energy sector leaders from industry, government and researchers participated in the centre's first summit meeting: Collaborating for Sustainable Clean Energy.
Featuring keynote addresses by Dan Doyle, Chairman of BC Hydro, and Les MacLaren, Assistant Deputy Minister, Ministry of Energy and Mines, the event provided a valuable context on the priorities and challenges faced by this sector of the economy, as well as opportunities to meet with other individuals and organizations to grow the clean energy economy in BC.
The expert panel discussed collaborative approaches and Partners in Collaboration highlighted some of the key organizations in our community that are there to make a difference. (See Agenda and Speakers above)
A large number of people also participated in the lab tour of the Clean Energy Research Centre and the Advanced Materials and Process Engineering Laboratory to see examples of specific clean energy research.
